We strive for understanding amidst so
Much confusion and half-truths, we try for
Seeing that which we cannot see, what is hidden
From us, we can’t even see what’s right in front of our
Face most of the time, yet here we are looking farther than
Our eye can comprehend. We are proud of our selves, we
Can’t understand that our little accomplishments have
Little or no meaning if we can’t see the most
Meaningful things are right before our eyes,
We just go on, in our blind pride that
We clothe ourselves in every day,
We always want to look ahead,
And ahead, never stopping
To look at what’s right in
Our own hands.
